Brad Pitt in The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth
The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth has secured 523 IMAX venues across roughly 55 countries and territories ahead of its Netflix debut. Brad Pitt returns as the unflappable stuntman from Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood, now navigating a very different Los Angeles in 1977. With David Fincher directing Quentin Tarantino’s screenplay, the follow-up brings together a formidable creative pairing, and its crime-soaked Hollywood story is heading for a format built to make every detail command the room worldwide rollout.
A reunion of this caliber is hardly the sort of cinematic undertaking one expects to disappear straight into a streaming catalogue without a moment on the big screen.
The Cliff Booth sequel gets a global IMAX window
The IMAX rollout for David Fincher's The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth is now taking shape, with 523 venues confirmed across approximately 55 countries and territories. The film will receive an exclusive two-week theatrical run beginning November 25, through December 23, the very date it will be on Netflix. The United States leads the current listings with 219 venues, followed by Japan with 63, while the UK has 24.

Brad Pitt as Cliff Booth
Eight years after Cliff Booth crossed paths with the Manson family in Tarantino’s alternate-history Hollywood, the former stuntman is back in a city for more adventures. Fincher directs from Quentin Tarantino’s new screenplay-turned-book, with Pitt joined by Elizabeth Debicki, Scott Caan, Carla Gugino, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Peter Weller.
The current IMAX map, however, leaves several major markets without a confirmed venue, including India, Australia, China, Hong Kong, New Zealand, South Korea, Thailand, and Vietnam, as well as France, Austria, Denmark, and other European countries. Some absent territories still appear in the site’s location settings, so additional cinemas could be added before the November 25 opening.
The release is arriving amid an otherwise packed IMAX calendar.
Where Cliff Booth fits into the 2026–27 IMAX slate
The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth joins a busy IMAX calendar stretching from late 2026 into 2027, which sports everything from franchise releases to prestige reissues. The current schedule lists Ramayana, Godzilla Minus Zero, and The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping in November, followed by Dune: Part Three in December. Children of Blood and Bone, The Prestige, and Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew are slated for early 2027.

Ramayana
Some titles have already reached IMAX audiences this year, while others remain dates on a forward-looking calendar rather than films currently playing. The official listings include returning titles such as Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood and Resident Evil, alongside upcoming projects including Star Wars: Starfighter and Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse in 2027.
For Cliff Booth, that crowded slate makes the two-week window a significant theatrical moment, even as its international reach remains uneven and Netflix retains the final release.
