Warding the tides of irrelevancy and maintaining the million-dollar mansion she has for herself on her favorite island is Colleen Hoover. The best-selling author has become the gift that keeps giving for not just millions of readers but now for movie-goers as well.

The writer, who was knee-deep into the making of her first-ever adaptation starring Blake Lively, It Ends With Us, is now on the receiving end of another good news, and this time it includes Verity.

While Colleen Hoover primarily rose to fame owing to her romance novels such as It Ends With Us and It Starts With Us, the author has proved that she knows how to cook a plot regardless of the genre. Verity by Hoover ticks all the right boxes for a perfect thriller and now it will be released as a movie. As per The Hollywood Reporter, Amazon MGM Studios is working on a movie based on Colleen Hoover's Verity.

It is unclear who will star in the movie as of now, but the crew members seem star-studded. A Friend of the Family's Nick Antosca will be working alongside Chucky's producer Alex Hedlund to produce the movie. Moreover, the Verity movie script has found itself in the hands of the talented Hillary Seitz, whose previous works include the Sandra Bullock and Angelina Jolie starrer, The Unforgivable.

The news comes in just as another one of Colleen Hoover's book-based movies, It Ends With Us, dropped its first look.

For a book that received so much love from around the world, there was surely a lot of discrepancy surrounding the movie even before its release. As Blake Lively took on the role of the lead character Lily, fireworks erupted regarding the inaccuracy of the source as Lily was way younger. However, following Colleen Hoover's explanation regarding the same and the delicious first look from the movie sets, fans have come to anticipate the movie with love.

Alongside beautiful images of both the actors and their characters, it was also announced that the It Ends With Us movie will make its way to theaters on August 9. This came as a huge relief as following the age discrepancy controversy and the SAG-AFTRA strikes, the movie had ceased to update. While the Blake Lively starrer may not have had a smooth ride, with how the stars have aligned for Verity, it seems likely for it.
