The heart-fluttering romance and drama of Off Campus swept audiences off their feet. The series became a massive hit on Amazon, ranking as the third most-watched debut series in the streaming platform's history. It attracted 36 million viewers within its first 12 days of streaming. And the show's breakout success also catapulted its cast to popularity, earning them overwhelming support from fans. 

But did the cast realize just how successful the show would become when it first premiered, or did they only recognize its impact after it started taking over social media? Belmont Cameli and Stephen Kalyn recently opened up about their experience and predictions.

Belmont Cameli and Stephen Kalyn recently spoke to Extra about the show's overwhelming success. When asked about when they first realized its potential, Cameli said it was the fans' love and support even before the series premiered. He recalled being in Brazil, where the excitement and enthusiasm from fans gave him an early indication and assurance that the show was going to be a success. 

"I think the first impetus of that thought was Brazil, and this was before the show had even been out when we went to Sao. Paulo. There were a ton of very excited fans there and that kind of clued us in that maybe this was going to be a little different than some of the other stuff we've done before," he said.

Kalyn agreed and shared his own experience. He said the moment that convinced him was when the second season was announced before the first season had even aired. He shared that the early renewal gave him confidence that the series was something special.

The two further spoke about season 2. Although the two did not share much about the next season, both agreed that the script was well written. Cameli further added that the show is in good hands.

This only raises the expectations for season 2 of the show and its release date.

Prime Video has not announced an official release date for Off Campus Season 2. However, as per the current production details, the show could air in mid-to-late 2027. Filming for season 2 of the show has already begun on June 1, 2026, in Vancouver and will continue through September 18, as per production reports.

Showrunner Louisa Levy has confirmed that all eight scripts for the second season have already been completed. So, the second season could return sooner than expected. And just like before season 1, there are also many expectations around the second season.
