The meeting involved Gates showing him his office and the iconic gigantic wall of the periodic table. “I might be stealing that,” Smith had said as he marveled at the wall. The lifesize table actually stored elements through special customized techniques. Of course, not every element was available since some are radioactive and some ultra expensive ones like francium.

While there is no saying how much the periodic table costs, the possession of such a thing is certainly invaluable. Since Smith has worked in sci-fi movies like I-Robot, Men in Black, I am Legend, etc. he has some research knowledge and interest in such fields.
