Back When Jennifer Aniston Narrated the Story of Her Family Getting Back to USA to Rolling Stone in 1999
From Friends to The Morning Show, Jennifer Aniston has had a glorious career. Besides her brilliant performances, the American actress became a fashion icon for her impeccable style. The Friends Diva proved herself to be an entrepreneur apart from being one of the highest-paid actresses in Hollywood. Before all her achievements, there was a time when she did not even dream of such a successful life, which she revealed in 1999 to Rolling Stone.
The Morning Show star once opened up about the moment that changed her family’s lives and brought them back to the USA.

The now 54-year-old actress comes from a family of stars, as the world already knows. However, before all the stardom, there came a period in Aniston’s life where they had to go to Greece. During her interview with Rolling Stone in 1999, remembering the struggling days, she admitted, “At that point, my father was struggling, doing things like being a door-to-door salesman while my mom modeled and did some acting.” So, after leaving the country for a brief period, they moved back to the USA owing to a miraculous audition call.

Trying to leave behind their past and difficulties, the Cake star’s father, John Aniston, decided to move on from his acting career. Therefore, they moved to Greece for a year when the Rock Star actress was just 5. But the universe had other plans for the Anistons as John’s agent called him informing him about an audition in the USA.
Fortunately, her father got the job in Love of Life, followed by features in Search for Tomorrow and then Days of Our Lives. Therefore, they all moved back to New York in 1976. Even after moving to the USA, however, the actress did not garner immediate success.

Before receiving global fame from the ’90s sitcom, Friends as Rachel Green, Aniston was a waitress. The Horrible Bosses actress had this one thing in common with her on-screen character, Rachel Green: waiting tables. Moreover, she also worked as a telemarketer selling time-shares in the Poconos. When she was in junior high, she used to cut hair for 10 bucks a head as well.

Fortunately, after many rejections and ups and downs, Jennifer Aniston found her way into the industry. Receiving several prestigious awards, and learning her way through her career, the American diva now rules the hearts of her fans. Moving to the USA turned out to be the best for her.
