Marvel is setting up its biggest release yet with a strong dose of nostalgia first. Before fans lay eyes on the much-anticipated Avengers: Doomsday, Marvel plans to give them a taste of Infinity Vision with the Avengers: Endgame re-release. Announced in December 2025, the movie is now titled Avengers Endgame: Encore, and the studio intends to remind fans what a spectacle the last Avengers film was and that what they are promising with Doomsday is much bigger in scale than its predecessor.

The trailer for the movie was recently dropped, along with the announcement that ticket sales will open soon.

Avengers Endgame: Encore has a new trailer ahead of its September 25, 2026, rerelease. Before Avengers: Doomsday opens on December 18, 2026, fans can now enjoy the film in new ways thanks to the recently released preview. Only a few weeks before Avengers Endgame: Encore is set to return to theaters, Marvel unveiled the 33-second promo. In the MCU's Avengers: Endgame Encore, fans will see Infinity Vision for the first time.

With the trailer, the makers also attached the ticket sales details, which revealed the ticket goes live on August 25. Ahead of the on-sale, theater listings are already available at AMC, Regal, and Fandango. The length is set at 3 hours and 5 minutes, which is four minutes longer than the 2019 cut's 3 hours and 1 minute. 

The four minutes of Doomsday bridge material that Russo Brothers have been promoting since the spring make Encore the longest Marvel Studios release to date. On a different note, before making a purchase, be aware that the re-release is only available on IMAX and Infinity Vision screens. Purchase a standard ticket to see the 2019 film.

The re-release happening just a couple of months prior to Doomsday has huge significance.

The Avengers Endgame: Encore is a crucial film leading up to the events of Avengers: Doomsday, as this is the last movie where the original members of the Avengers team were seen together and also the last appearance of two of the most important members - Tony Stark/Iron Man and Steve Rogers/Captain America.    

The additional four minutes might give a little perspective on what happened with these characters and how they will be tied to Doomsday, especially Captain America, who will be returning to fight Doctor Doom alongside his old friend Thor. Whatever those four minutes contain will only be revealed once the movie lands in theaters on September 25, the tickets for which will go on sale tomorrow.
