Fans of the Avatar franchise will soon be able to stream the third film of the series from the comfort of their homes. After a wait of almost three months, since the fantasy action flick was released in theaters, Avatar: Fire and Ash will be digitally accessible for purchase/rental on March 31, according to an exclusive report by PEOPLE.
Although the date is confirmed, the platform is not yet revealed. But taking into account the past patterns, the most likely answer to this question seems to be Disney+. All of the previous Avatar movies were released on this platform, and it does not seem like the franchise is going to break the pattern now. For what it is worth, Disney owns the 20th Century Studios, so it makes sense.
Moreover, when The Way of Water was released in December 2022, it debuted on Disney+ in the United States on June 7, 2023. And now, Fire and Ash is also set to follow the same pattern under 20th Century Studios. Avatar: Fire and Ash will likely be available for purchase or rental on other platforms once it is digitally released on March 31.
Since Avatar: Fire and Ash is going to be digitally available soon, all of those who missed it in the theaters can now know what happened next in Jake Sully’s quest to find a safe haven for his family.
How does the story progress in Avatar: Fire and Ash?
Avatar: Fire and Ash picks up right where The Way of Water ended. This new chapter entails Miles Quaritch’s (Stephen Lang) quest to locate his own kid, Spider (Jack Champion) and Jake (Sam Worthington), and Neytiri's (Zoe Saldaña) ongoing grief at the death of their son Neteyam (Jamie Flatters). Notably, Oona Chaplin joins the franchise for the threequel as Varang, a Na'vi villain who is in cahoots with Quaritch to capture Jake Sully.

All the other details about the movie will soon be out in the open for people to find out after its OTT release on March 31.
