As Hollywood Mourns the Loss of Chandler, Estranged UK Royal Pays Tribute to Matthew Perry, and It’s Not Meghan Markle

Matthew Perry received a royal tribute, but not from the Duchess of Sussex,
Meghan Markle [http://netflixjunkie.com/tag/meghan-markle/]. After the news of
the Chandler Bing fame’s shocking demise, everyone from around the world has
been sharing their heartbreaking emotions. Even talk show hosts also paid their
respects to the Friends star. While fans still cannot believe the news to be
true, celebrities have been voicing their emotions on their social media
handles. Joining the bandwagon is an estranged royal.

The Canadian actor received heartwarming words all the way from the United
Kingdom.

MATTHEW PERRY RECEIVED THE ROYAL TRIBUTE

Do you remember Friends season 4 episode 23, where everyone except for Phoebe
and Rachel flew to London for Ross’ wedding? In the episode, Joey met Sarah
Ferguson, known as Fergie, who complimented his hat. Years later, following
Perry’s painful demise, the Duchess of York went down the memory lane to talk
about her experience on Friends on her Instagram. Remembering her meeting with
the actor, she praised Perry and wrote, “I remember being thrilled to have met a
natural talent, comedian and brilliant actor.”

The Duchess of York mentioned it was tragic to lose the actor, who gave joy and
laughter to so many this early. In the first picture, apart from Lisa Kudrow,
she appeared with the entire cast of Friends. However, in the second picture,
which is from behind the scenes, Fergie appeared alongside Matt LeBlanc and
Matthew Perry. Wishing for the actor’s peace, Fergie expressed her heartfelt
pain.

In the episode, Chandler did not get a chance to meet the Duchess of York as he
parted ways with Joey, who was extremely excited about being in London. But
Sarah Ferguson did meet the cast and had an amazing time with them. However, the
question is: How did the Duchess of York end up being in the sitcom?

HOW DID SARAH FERGUSON JOIN THE FAN-FAVORITE FRIENDS?

According to the book, I’ll Be There for You: The One About Friends by Kelsey
Miller, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie coaxed Fergie into the cameo
appearance. It is interesting that Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie
convinced their mother to do this surprising cameo at 10 and 8 years of age,
respectively. Surely, the Friends fan loved how the show included the Royal
member in the sitcom, making the London episodes more fun.

Along with the British royalty, the 17 Again actor also received a heartfelt
tribute from the Canadian President, Justin Trudeau

expressing his grief. Leaving everyone in distress, the fan-favorite Canadian
actor left the world on October 28th, 2023. While the entire fandom is mourning
the loss, celebrities also join in to pray for Perry.
