Ariana Grande will make fans wait longer for her next movie. The Disney star was
set to create magic in the fantasy world of Wicked with actors like Cynthia
Erivo, Jonathan Bailey, Jeff Goldblum, etc. But the musical comedy has been
struck by the reality of Hollywood’s condition today. It has queued up to be one
of the projects affected by the SAG-AFTRA strike that began a few days ago.

Movies ushered to get their premieres and shoots done before the strike could
begin. Some did not have hopes, and others did not expect the condition to be

Schwartz revealed in an interview with Variety

composed music for the original musical of Winnie Holzman and the movie

The artist also came out with his support for the strike and maintained
solidarity with them. While it was painful, he is sure of bouncing back once the
matters are resolved. Movie director Jon M. Chu also relieved fans by announcing
that the strike will not delay the movie’s original release date, which is set
for November 2024. He also showed sympathy for the strike members while assuring
them of having enough content to release the movie.

WHAT IS WICKED ABOUT?

The movie is based on the novel written by Gregory Maguire called Wicked: The
Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West. It centers around three
characters: Glinda, Elphaba, and Dorothy Gale, and their magical journey in Oz.
The movie is a spin-off of The Wizard of Oz, and considering its fantasy theme,
it was shot mostly in the beautiful landscape of Ivinghoe, Buckinghamshire.



After the successful Broadway, the musical movie will help reach its audience
