Not long ago, the Red Dragons started their journey in League Two after two decades. While the club’s start to the season has not been as good as the Welsh side expected it to be, the fans’ support is ever-growing. The Red Dragons played their fifth game of the season, and yet again, the fans did not fail to disappoint.
Wrexham records its biggest crowd to date

Wrexham AFC’s recent fixture against Swindon Town at the Race Course ground was perhaps one of the most breathtaking matches. The Red Dragons pulled the game back from an impossible stage as they successfully made a comeback after trailing 4-1. While the players did an amazing job, the fans stayed until the last minute supporting the team. The latest fixture was the first time in almost 16 years that the Red Dragons witnessed such a huge crowd at the Race Course. The total attendance at the game was 10,258.

Shortly after, Wrexham’s official Twitter account shared the update as they lauded the fans for their overwhelming support. Ryan Reynolds also expressed his gratitude to the fans after Wrexham managed to complete one of the most iconic comebacks. Meanwhile, the last time Wrexham saw such an amazing crowd was during their fixture against Boston United in May 2007, where they won 3-1. Despite having a massive capacity, Wrexham is still behind other teams in the second division.
Which team in League Two has the biggest stadium?
Wrexham finally got promoted from National League after nearly 15 years. While the Welsh side is undoubtedly a popular name, there are many clubs in League Two that stand ahead of the Red Dragons in terms of football heritage. The current capacity of the Race Course ground is nearly 11,000. Meanwhile, the highest number capacity stadium is the Valley Parade of Bradford City, which can hold nearly 25,000 fans during games.

In comparison to the other teams, Wrexham’s Race Course ground currently stands at number 9 in terms of its capacity. Others ahead of Wrexham include Carlisle United’s Brunton Park, which can hold 18,000 fans, and The County Ground of Swindon Town, with a seating capacity of 16000.
