‘Annihilate’ Rapper Offset Shot Outside Florida Casino, Reportedly Stable

After parting ways with the Hip-Hop trio group, Migos, Offset began to focus on building his solo career. He released his third studio album last year. While he often makes headlines for his music and major collaborations, this time it is for a shocking reason. The rapper was reportedly shot outside a famous casino in Florida, leaving fans concerned. 

As the news continues to make rounds, updates on his condition have been shared that offered some reassurance.

What happened in the incident involving Offset

As reported by TMZ, Offset was shot outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. He is currently in a hospital getting medical care. After the incident, the rapper’s spokesperson has come forward with an update on his condition.

“He (Offset) is stable and being closely monitored.” As for the details surrounding the incident, much has not yet been revealed. However, a rep for the Seminole Police told TMZ that the situation was quickly controlled. They further claimed that two people were detained.

Now, the concern is understandable. Former Migos member and Offset’s close friend Takeoff was fatally shot in November 2022. Later in a conversation with Variety, the rapper had opened up about his pain.

“I get through my day thinking it’s fake. And I don’t say nothing to nobody about it,” he said.

The famous band, which also included Quavo, was known for hits like 'Bad and Boujee' and albums such as 'Culture.' However, later in 2019, Offset began his solo career with 'Father of 4.' Offset, who separated from Cardi B in 2024, released his second album, 'Set It Off' (2023), and his latest album, 'Kiari, which was released last year.

Alongside his solo career, he has also contributed to film soundtracks, including work for the Spider-Verse franchise, which has gained major traction.

Offset contributed major hits in Spider-verse films

One of the major hits from Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is 'Danger (Spider).' Offset worked with JID for the soundtrack. He also collaborated with Swae Lee and Lil Wayne on the track Annihilate. Moreover, he contributed to 'Silk and Cologne' (Spider-Verse Remix) alongside EI8HT.

These tracks from the Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse became popular among the fandom of the film’s soundtrack. He was also present at the premiere of the movie, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse in 2023, where his sons also joined him. While Offset’s stable condition has brought some relief, fans await more clarity on the incident.
