Releasing theatrically on October 2, 2026, the psychological erotic thriller casts Hathaway as Verity Crawford, an enigmatic bestselling author whose incapacitation leaves behind a manuscript far more dangerous than any unfinished novel.

Directed by Michael Showalter and adapted by Nick Antosca from Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel, Verity follows a struggling writer, played by Dakota Johnson, who is hired to complete Crawford’s remaining books. Anne Hathaway is taking her 2026 career run from dinosaurs and psychological thrillers straight into the battlefield with Alone at Dawn. The Amazon MGM Studios military drama is targeting a late 2026 or early 2027 theatrical release, with Hathaway sharing the screen with Adam Driver and Betty Gilpin under the direction of Academy Award-winning filmmaker Ron Howard.
