Anne Hathaway's 'The End of Oak Street' Gears Up for Netflix Debut After $121M Box Office Run

Anne Hathaway has survived fashion's fiercest critics, mythological spectacle, and now the ultimate homeowners' association nightmare: dinosaurs in the driveway. In The End of Oak Street, she plays Denise Platt opposite Ewan McGregor's Greg, a married couple navigating domestic friction when a cosmic mishap drops their 1980s neighborhood into prehistoric territory.
Forget misplaced lawn sprinklers. The new residents have teeth, claws, and absolutely no interest in property boundaries. David Robert Mitchell's creature feature serves Jurassic Park energy with a suburban twist, putting parental survival instincts through a prehistoric blender.
Following its theatrical adventure, the film has another destination on the calendar.
When will The End of Oak Street stream?
Warner Bros. is sending The End of Oak Street to HBO Max on November 13, 2026. Its HBO television premiere follows on November 14 at 8 p.m. ET. The movie landed in theaters August 14, facing a crowded summer marketplace after The Odyssey and Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

Its worldwide receipts reached approximately $121.6 million, including $54.2 million domestically and $67.4 million overseas. Its reported production budget was $85 million. Mitchell returned to feature directing after 2018's Under the Silver Lake, writing, directing, and producing this sci-fi panic attack with J.J. Abrams among the producers.
A mysterious cosmic rupture relocates a suburban neighborhood, then lets prehistoric predators handle the welcoming committee. Baseball bats and household defenses suddenly become family heirlooms. Critics responded warmly to the pulpy experiment, which boasts an 86% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes.
And Hathaway's next high-octane adventure trades prehistoric claws for NASCAR tires.
Anne Hathaway and Tom Cruise rev up Days of Thunder 2
Paramount has enlisted Hathaway alongside Tom Cruise for the follow-up to 1990's Days of Thunder, with Cruise returning as hotheaded racer Cole Trickle. Hathaway plays a racing team owner and engineer, bringing fresh fuel to a franchise whose first lap featured Nicole Kidman.

Jonathan Levine, known for Long Shot and 50/50, directs a screenplay by Will Staples. Cruise produces alongside Jerry Bruckheimer and Tommy Harper, placing blockbuster horsepower behind the project. The sequel arrives four decades after Tony Scott's original, leaving plenty of track history for its characters to navigate.
Production is expected in 2027, although Paramount has not officially confirmed the filming locations. One thing is firmly on the starting grid: June 2, 2028. The movie is being designed for IMAX and will play in Dolby Cinema and 4DX. Apparently, Hathaway's 2026 dinosaur encounters were merely preparation for another vehicle involving screaming.
