Anne Hathaway joked about her packed schedule, admitting she understands if audiences are starting to get “sick of my face.” Hathaway is having one of Hollywood’s busiest years, moving from the emotional drama Mother Mary to The Odyssey and The Devil Wears Prada 2. The End of Oak Street has added another release, while Verity is still ahead.

At the Los Angeles premiere of End of Oak Street, Hathaway admitted she hopes audiences do not get tired of seeing her.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter at The End of Oak Street premiere, Anne Hathaway joked about the crowded calendar.

“As long as audiences don't get sick of my face, which I wouldn't blame them,” she said. She had previously described the unusual release schedule as feeling almost unreal, noting that four years of work were arriving within a span of just six months.

Hathaway's remark to THR also brings to mind Zendaya’s own comments about an unusually crowded year. In March, Zendaya joked that she hoped audiences would not “get sick” of seeing her before saying she planned to disappear from the spotlight for a little while once her 2026 commitments were finished. Her schedule includes The Drama, The Odyssey, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and Dune: Part Three, alongside the third season of Euphoria.

Hathaway’s situation is slightly different because her five films are spread across several genres and involve different filmmakers and creative teams. Still, the comparison is easy to understand. Both actresses have found themselves at the center of an unusually concentrated release calendar, putting their faces on screens repeatedly throughout the year.

And while Hathaway is joking about overexposure, one of her biggest 2026 projects is already making history on a massive scale.

Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey has now become the filmmaker’s highest-grossing movie, surpassing The Dark Knight Rises. The film has crossed approximately $1.1 billion worldwide, pushing beyond the $1.085 billion global total earned by Nolan’s 2012 Batman sequel. The achievement gives The Odyssey a particularly significant place in Nolan’s filmography.

The Homer adaptation has also emerged as a major success for IMAX, with the format reporting that the movie delivered a record-breaking $52 million worldwide opening weekend. That IMAX success has continued to grow. Recent figures put The Odyssey at roughly $289 million in global IMAX revenue, overtaking Avatar’s previous $271 million record and making Nolan’s latest epic the highest-grossing IMAX release.

Hathaway is part of that record-setting run as Penelope, while she previously worked with Nolan on The Dark Knight Rises, where she portrayed Selina Kyle, also known as Catwoman. The two films therefore connect two major chapters of Nolan’s career through the same star.
