Angelina Jolie is debuting a dramatic new look for her role in the upcoming film, Anxious People. On set in London, she was seen with a light blonde bob, a significant change from her long, brunette hair. Her character’s style also features a long white wrap top, capri pants, a muted red lip, and a bold gold brooch, showcasing a completely new on-screen persona.

The film is an adaptation of Fredrik Backman's 2019 novel by the same name. The plot follows a disastrous bank robbery that turns into a hostage situation at an open house, leading to chaos and shared secrets among the victims. Marc Forster will direct the film, which also stars Aimee Lou Wood and Jason Segel. In the film Anxious People, Angelina Jolie is set to portray the character Zara, while Aimee Lou Wood will play Grace. It does not have an official release date yet, and the movie is currently in production.

Beyond her acting, Angelina Jolie has signed on to the producing team for the film Muganga, The One Who Treats. As per variety, the project is inspired by the true story of Nobel Peace Prize laureate Dr. Denis Mukwege. It highlights the plight of survivors of conflict-related sexual violence, focusing on the women he champions in Eastern Congo. Jolie’s involvement in the project is deeply personal, stemming from her long-standing partnership with Dr. Mukwege.

Angelina Jolie has known and worked alongside him for over a decade, campaigning to end the use of sexual violence as a weapon of war. Mukwege has treated tens of thousands of rape survivors, and Jolie’s work with him showcases her dedication. The film, Muganga, The One Who Treats, is scheduled for release in France on September 24. It is produced by Cynthia Pinet and directed by Marie-Hélène Roux, who also co-wrote the script with Jean-René Lemoine.
