Andrew Garfield was in attendance at the New York premiere of his movie, The Magic Faraway Tree. While speaking about his upcoming movie, Artificial, the actor mentioned Amazon and expressed his gratitude to the company for developing the film and helping it find a new home after the unexpected decision. He also shared a few words about the movie’s new home, Neon.
“This business is in an interesting place, and I’m fascinated by how things work,” he told The Hollywood Reporter.
“I think it’s (Neon) a really good fit and I’m really excited to release it with them,” he added and called Neon “a daring studio doing daring films so I’m very, very excited to be partnering with them on it.”

This comes after Amazon announced its decision to drop the movie just months after signing a deal with OpenAI. Following the unexpected move, several major studios, including Warner Bros., Netflix, and Focus reportedly rejected the film, as per The Hollywood Reporter. Ultimately, Neon stepped in to acquire the film.

The film has already garnered divided reactions following its early screenings.
