A fan named Caleb Williams recently posted a GIF of the actress on Twitter, featuring her character Jacqueline de Bellefort from Death on the Nile. According to the user, if Mackey became Lois Lane, it would be a “slap.” Considering that Lane is a headstrong woman who is more than capable of handling herself in almost any situation, this casting would make sense. The 27-year-old is currently competing with Rachel Brosnahan, Phoebe Dynevor, and Samara Weaving for this role.
The Hollywood Reporter earlier revealed that Brosnahan has delivered an “outstanding” audition for Lois Lane. However, nothing is clear now because her age can be a factor that does not match Gunn’s list. Not to mention, fans are profoundly impressed by Mackey who has starred in the highly anticipated film Barbie.
