James Gunn is about to give Superman his own signature touch. Superman has always been the paragon of virtue, and by tossing in a bit more warmth and humanity to the character, as fans are expecting from Gunn, Superman: Legacy could really harken back to that golden age of comics. However, it is not just the leading character that fans are excited about. There is also a bunch of speculation circling about which other actors are gonna amp up the charm factor in the next Superman flick.

In the midst of all the gossip and hearsay, here is the rundown of all the actors who have officially signed on for the upcoming Superman: Legacy. 

There has been a ton of chatter surrounding the future of the DCU ever since James Gunn and Peter Safran stepped in as co-chairmen at the studio. Although the reboot of Superman will not hit theaters until 2025, the makers have already locked in a talented cast for the highly anticipated film. David Corenswet will lead the pack as Clark Kent/Superman, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, and Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane. 

The rest of the star-studded ensemble includes Skyler Gisondo, Isabela Merced, Edi Gathegi, Nathan Fillion, Anthony Carrigan, María Gabriela de Faría, Sara Sampaio, Milly Alcock, Sean Gunn, and Wendell Pierce, all confirmed to join the cast. As for which other beloved characters from the comics might get their moment in the spotlight, that is still uncertain. And so was the mystery cast member James Gunn teased in 2023, referring to as someone who is not among the "regular players in the Superman world”.

The filmmaker did, however, rope in a familiar face from the superhero world, if not from the world of Superman. However, it is not in a visible role, but rather working behind the scenes. 

Earlier this year, in a post on X, formerly Twitter, word got out that James Gunn had brought a new player on board for Superman: Legacy. Enter cinematographer Henry Braham, a seasoned professional who has lent his talents to a slew of DC and Marvel flicks in the past, including the second and third volumes of Guardians of the Galaxy. With such experience under his belt, it was understandable why Gunn enlisted him for the project. 

Apart from his superhero exploits, Braham has left his mark on diverse films like Nanny McPhee, The Golden Compass, and even Disney’s Maleficent: Mistress of Evil. With him now part of the team and a solid cast lineup confirmed, fans can look forward to a cinematic treat upon the film's release in 2025. Yet, the speculation surrounding additional additions to this burgeoning Superman universe will undoubtedly linger until the release.
