"I have an instinct on the answer but I feel compelled to ask," her agent texted, asking if the project was a hard no.

"Absolutely f****** not! Lol,” Pankiw responded. Pankiw captioned the exchange referencing J.K. Rowling's role as executive producer on the adaptation of her books.

“It simply is this easy to say no to funding t**********!,” she captioned the Instagram post. She also clarified that the job offer she turned down was for a role behind the camera as a director, not as an actor appearing on screen.

The upcoming decade-spanning television series features Francesca Gardiner as showrunner, with veteran director Mark Mylod directing multiple episodes. Executive producer J.K.
