For years, Manchester United have existed under a microscope. Every tactical tweak, every transfer discussion, and every dressing room whisper has fueled endless debate across British football circles. The 2025 and 2026 seasons were no different. Reports of internal restructuring under INEOS, changing managerial philosophies, and the club's push back toward Europe's elite competition frequently dominated headlines.
While supporters have often pieced together the story through leaks, press conferences, and insider reports, the curtain is finally being pulled back on what really happens behind the scenes at Old Trafford and Carrington. Now, Manchester United are preparing to tell that story themselves.

Manchester United have officially committed to an Amazon Prime All or Nothing docuseries that will follow the club throughout the 2026-27 campaign. According to reports from The Athletic, the agreement includes what United describe as a record access fee for a football documentary of its kind. Production is set to begin during pre season preparations this summer, with the finished series scheduled for release in the summer of 2027.
The project, reported by The NY Times' The Athletic, arrives at a fascinating moment in the club's history. Under manager Michael Carrick and the INEOS sporting structure, United are attempting to build upon a successful 2025-26 season that secured a return to the UEFA Champions League. Cameras will reportedly gain unprecedented access to players, coaches, executives, and daily operations inside the newly renovated Carrington Training Complex.
Fans across more than 240 countries and territories will be given a rare look into what club officials have called the "inner sanctum" of one of football's most scrutinized institutions.
Yet the real intrigue lies in what remains unseen. For Manchester United, a club whose recent history has been defined by transition and reinvention, the possibilities are endless.
What could the cameras reveal this time?
The road to this documentary was far from straightforward. Discussions reportedly began toward the end of the 2024-25 season when Amazon presented an offer exceeding £10 million, potentially the largest payment ever made to a football club for participation in the series. Despite the financial incentive, then manager Ruben Amorim expressed concerns that constant filming could become a distraction for a squad still searching for stability after several difficult years. Those reservations ultimately delayed the project.
Amorim departed in January 2026, and following the club's resurgence under Carrick, executives including CEO Omar Berrada and sporting director Jason Wilcox determined the timing was finally right. Chief Communications Officer Toby Craig stated that supporters would gain unprecedented insight into the people, culture, ambition, and daily operations that define Manchester United both on and off the pitch.

The series will also join Amazon's growing portfolio of football content, which has previously followed Arsenal, Manchester City, and Tottenham Hotspur. Beyond club documentaries, the platform is expanding its sports storytelling reach through projects such as Bukayo Saka: The Time is Now. For Manchester United supporters, the upcoming series promises something even more compelling than trophies or transfer rumors.
As the cameras begin rolling and a new season unfolds, supporters may finally get answers to questions that years of speculation could never fully explain.
