Peter Parker is set to swing back into action in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The film picks up after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, with Peter Parker living in a world where no one remembers who he is. As Tom Holland has hinted, the movie will focus on his character during one of the darkest and most challenging times of his life as he struggles with loneliness and faces new opponents and obstacles unlike anything he has experienced before.

Avengers: Endgame 2019

Avengers: Endgame is yet another crucial chapter in Tom Holland's Peter Parker's journey. Although Peter returns to fight in the film's battle, he also suffers one of the greatest losses of his life when Tony Stark sacrifices himself. Spider-Man: Far From Home 2019

Spider-Man: Far From Home is the second film in Tom Holland's Spider-Man franchise and an essential watch before Brand New Day. It is not just important as Peter Parker's next adventure but also sets up a major turning point in his story. By the end of the movie, Peter has to start his life over from scratch. He keeps his identity a secret even from MJ and Ned, and moves into a modest apartment in New York City.

Four years later, Spider-Man: Brand New Day picks up this story. The film revisits Peter's new life while bringing back several characters from the previous Spider-Man movies alongside a number of new faces from across the MCU. The movie is available to watch on Disney+.

Daredevil seasons one to three 2015–2018

Spider-Man: Brand New Day shifts its focus from cosmic threats to the MCU's street-level world. That makes it important to get familiar with the characters and conflicts introduced in MCU’ Street level world, and for that, one must watch Netflix's Daredevil. One can watch all three seasons of Daredevil to understand Matt Murdock's journey and the show's major players.

However, fans can also focus only on Season 2, which introduces Jon Bernthal's Frank Castle, aka the Punisher, as well as the ninja organization known as The Hand. Both of them appear to play crucial roles in Brand New Day, as seen in the trailers. 

The Defenders 2017

The Defenders shares more information about the ninja organisation, the Hand, and its role in the Marvel universe. The show focuses on Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist against the Hand. It is available to watch on Disney+.

The Punisher 2017–2019

The Punisher is not directly connected to Peter Parker's story. However, it provides essential background on Frank Castle before his MCU crossover in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Across its two seasons, the series follows Frank as he seeks justice for the murder of his family and fully embraces his identity as the ruthless vigilante known as the Punisher.

Daredevil: Born Again brings Matt Murdock, the Punisher, and Wilson Fisk fully into the modern MCU. This is an essential watch to understand the timeline of events that will take place in Brand New Day. It is available to watch on Hulu and Disney+.

The Punisher: One Last Kill 2026

The Punisher: One Last Kill is the final and perhaps most important watch before Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The show picks up directly after the events of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, following Frank Castle as he goes on one last mission. It also leaves the Punisher exactly where fans will find him when he crosses paths with Peter Parker in Brand New Day. It is available to watch on Disney+.
