The trailer for Wicker introduces an ostracized fisherwoman, played by Olivia Colman, who grows increasingly dissatisfied with her solitary lifestyle. Seeking companionship on her own terms, she approaches the local basket maker to construct a custom partner. The local artisan uses raw natural materials, wicker, to craft a living, breathing husband played by Alexander Skarsgård. His finely woven wicker look covers his body and face in a flexible lattice pattern, with a tousled brown beard and wild hair for a rugged, mythical sculpted look.

One month later, she proudly unveils her unique spouse, leaving the entire community completely stunned by his unusual presence. While the fisherwoman finds true romantic fulfilment, her conservative neighbours view the living creation with immense suspicion and anxiety. Based on the narrative presented, the story seems to offer a satirical look at several human experiences.

As their unconventional bond deepens, the trailer teases rising tensions and surreal consequences threatening the community. The local basket maker explains that natural materials provided the foundation for this miraculous, living human figure. This absurd romantic dynamic creates a captivating struggle between human desire and societal acceptance across the village.
