Joe Keery to join MCU's Spider-Man?
With Spider-Man: Brand New Day still keeping its plot under wraps, online chatter has increasingly pointed toward Joe Keery as a potential Harry Osborn pick, especially since the Brand New Day era in the comics heavily features Peter’s complicated friendship with Norman Osborn’s son.
Keery recently addressed the growing MCU rumors in an interview with ScreenRant, speaking to journalist Liam Crowley while promoting his upcoming project Cold Storage. Rather than shutting down the speculation, Keery leaned into it with humor, acknowledging he is well aware of what fans have been saying online. Keery joked that he is familiar with Spider-Man, referencing the viral TikTok edits imagining him as Harry Osborn, adding that
“It’s fun to entertain," he said in the interview.
Despite the fun, he also kept things realistic, suggesting that casting decisions are largely out of an actor’s control unless Marvel officially comes calling.
“I guess you just keep your eyes open, and you read a ton and just hope for the best, I guess. But sure. Come on. Where’s the script? Let’s go.”
He was keen on playing a part in the MCU Universe, as he mentioned in the interview with ScreenRant.
For now, Marvel has not confirmed anything but Joe Keery’s comments have only fueled the excitement around him potentially joining Tom Holland’s Spider-Man corner of the MCU.
While a Marvel role hangs in the air, Joe Keery’s career trajectory shows he is already operating at blockbuster-level momentum.
Joe Keery’s career has already expanded far beyond Stranger Things
While fans still associate Joe Keery with his breakout role as Steve Harrington, his post-Stranger Things career has been steadily growing into something much bigger. Over the years, he has carved out a strong filmography that mixes comedy, thriller, and prestige drama.
One of his most buzzed-about recent projects is the horror-comedy Cold Storage, which has Keery stepping into another genre-heavy role, something he has become known for outside of Hawkins.

He also gained attention for appearing in Fargo Season 5, a critically praised installment of the anthology crime series, proving he can hold his own in darker and more dramatic storytelling. Add with his past film credits like Free Guy and Spree, it is clear Keery has been building the kind of versatile resume that fits Marvel’s casting style perfectly.
Whether or not he lands the rumored Harry Osborn role, Joe Keery has already positioned himself as one of the most in-demand actors from the Stranger Things generation.
