Wonder Man opened with 618 million minutes viewed in the United States during its first week, ranking eighth among streaming originals for that period, according to Nielsen data reported by Deadline. He described a movie continuation as a question, not a confirmed plan, at present.

Showrunner Andrew Guest rejected speculation that the cancellation was a marketing maneuver or a transition to a feature film. He said the team wanted to continue, contracts had been signed, and planning was underway before Disney and Marvel decided the series no longer made sense. “There is no movie in the works,” Guest stated. The reversal leaves Wonder Man as a Marvel project whose creators wanted more, but whose future ended now.
