A while ago, the world was let down when <a href="https://netflixjunkie.com/tag/henry-cavill/">Henry Cavill</a> was jacked from the Superman role. However, now it looks like DC fans are ready to hop on the bandwagon for a new Batman. Although the decision rests solely on James Gunn with his plans to reboot the entire universe, that has not stopped fans from sharing their choices.
As rumors circulate about a potential replacement for Ben Affleck now that he has given up the iconic role of Batman, fans across the globe are passionately suggesting the ideal actor who could become the next Caped Crusader.
<h2>DC fan suggests actors for Batman</h2>
In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), a DC fan posted to his account telling James Gunn how he could build the finest Superman and Batman duo. While David Corenswet was already set to take up the role of Superman, the fan threw the Supernatural star, Jensen Ackles, into the ring for Batman. Although it would be difficult for anyone to fill the shoes of Christian Bale and Ben Affleck, the 45-year-old could be the best fit for the role.

Not everyone seemed to agree,as there were others who were still hoping to see the soon-to-be father, Robert Pattinson, in the role. Earlier this year, there were rumors that the legend, George Clooney, could be in talks to don the crusader&#8217;s cape. However, James Gunn ended up shutting those down with a simple response on X saying, &#8220;Absolutely not.&#8221;

While that leaves the door open for Jensen Ackles to possibly become the next Batman fans will have to wait and see how that one plays out. Although, with Gunn focusing on his plans for Superman: Legacy, the world might have a long wait.

Most recently fans saw another actor get added to the new Superman film. It was Nicholas Hoult; he was cast to play the villain, Lex Luthor in James Gunn&#8217;s Superman: Legacy. This revelation came months after the star was rumored to be one of the actors who were top contenders for the role of Superman and lost to David Corenswet. So far, the film is set to come out on 11th July 2025.
