Six years after the first cracks appeared in their relationship, the Sussexes and the Waleses seem to be hinting at a chance for reconciliation. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been locked in a bitter feud with the Prince and Princess of Wales for what feels like eons. Yet, as the royal family weathers stormy seas, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry appear to be softening towards their estranged family members, perhaps signaling the beginning of a reconciliation.

Nearly two years later, Prince Harry and Markle reached out to the senior royal members to check on Kate Middleton's health.

Kate Middleton recently shared a video, which went viral within minutes, revealing her cancer diagnosis and chemotherapy. Following this disclosure, ET reported that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reached out privately to Prince William and Kate Middleton. However, it is currently unclear whether this contact took the form of a phone call, video chat, or text messages. And whether Prince Harry will fly back to the UK is not clear either.

It was also alleged that the Sussexs were only made aware of Middleton's condition at the same time as the rest of the world. The last public interaction between the two royal couples took place more than a year ago. It was back in 2022 during a European tour for a string of charity events when Queen Elizabeth passed away. This alleged recent contact between the couples came shortly after the Sussexes issued a joint statement expressing support for the Princess.

In February, the Duke of Sussex made a trip from California to the U.K. after the announcement of King Charles' cancer diagnosis. However, his brief visit to the U.K. did not involve a meeting with his brother Prince William, or his sister-in-law Princess Kate Middleton. Nevertheless, upon learning about Middleton's cancer treatment update, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry quickly issued a statement.

"We wish health and healing for Kate and the family, and hope they are able to do so privately and in peace," the Sussexes told PEOPLE. Prince Harry had also reportedly shown concern for the photoshop controversy of Middleton. A source told Page Six that Prince Harry was "distracted" by the media attention surrounding Middleton. With the Sussexes openly expressing their concerns for the royal family, the hope for the feud's resolution seems to be shining even brighter day by day.
