Initially, there were rumors that Adam Driver could join Marvel's upcoming X-Men reboot. Later, Nexus Point News and Apoc Horseman reported that the actor is in talks to play Magneto. While many fans were impressed with the possibility, others hoped Marvel would cast a newer and more unexpected face for the iconic mutant, rather than another established Hollywood star.

“I hope this Adam Driver / Magneto rumor is not true … Are there no NEW actors to discover? Must we keep using the SAME ones over and over? And I love Adam Driver - but come on,” Grace Randolph wrote on X.

One of Marvel's most interesting casting choices was Tom Holland, who was cast as Spider-Man at just 19 years old. While Holland was already known within the film industry, he was still new to mainstream Hollywood. The rest is history, as the actor has gone on to establish himself as one of Hollywood's biggest stars.

Moreover, Patrick Wilson is reportedly in talks to play Professor X in Marvel's new X-Men reboot. While many fans had hoped to see James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender return as Professor X and Magneto, respectively, the studio appears to be aiming for a complete reboot with a fresh cast.
