The As Ever Instagram page recently shared a serene image of Meghan Markle with her beloved dogs, Pula and Mia, gazing upon their backyard. This simple photograph highlighted two palm trees, gracefully connected at their base. These trees hold profound significance for the couple. Meghan revealed in a 2022 interview with The Cut that Prince Harry immediately recognized the symbolism of two trees standing strongly, remarking, "My love, it is us." The two trees also became a symbol of Markle's As Ever.
These two connected palm trees have become a cherished symbol within the Sussex household. As Meghan Markle recounted, their son, Prince Archie, now six years old, playfully greets the trees each day, saying, "Hi, Momma. Hi, Papa." Flanking this powerful symbol are two hummingbirds in the logo, which also carry significant meaning for Prince Harry. He recounted in his memoir Spare about finding a hummingbird in his house shortly after the passing of his beloved grandmother, Queen Elizabeth. With the palm trees and hummingbird, the brand logo is nothing but meaningful. But it had its own share of struggles in its initial days.

First, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office issued a partial rejection of her trademark application due to the name's similarity to a clothing company. This forced her legal team to revise the application, removing clothing from the brand's scope and thereby limiting her business.

Adding to the controversy, officials from the Spanish town of Porreres have claimed that the As Ever crest, featuring a palm tree and two hummingbirds, is a near-exact replica of their town's coat of arms, which dates back to 1370. The mayor publicly urged the lady soon to be featured on the Radio to consider changing the logo to avoid a potential lawsuit. While the issues came in left and right, the palm trees stood stronger, becoming the face of As Ever.
