In a recent interview on the YouTube channel, Filme Gitmeden Önce, Robert Pattinson opened up about the script of The Batman Part II and what the fans can expect from it. While he talked about many things, like his mini musical concerts on the sets of Batman and his acting processes, his remarks about the script stood out the most.
“I mean the script is so good but I think it's its kind of crazy,” Pattinson said about the sequel movie.
“It was because the first one was a little bit of a different type of Batman movie, and this is like really a different type of Batman movie,” he asserted on the upcoming sequels' worthiness.
Matt Reeves’ The Batman explored the detective side of the Dark Knight more than the previous versions of the superhero, which is probably the 'difference' Pattinson states. To further support his argument, he added that he is just hoping that the script really surprises everyone.
However, long before Pattinson’s revelations, Reeves had already hyped everyone enough with his update on the script last year.
Matt Reeves is all excited about the script for The Batman II
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter last year, Matt Reeves discussed Robert Pattinson's reaction to the script, which was sent to him in a privacy pouch with a coded entry that Pattinson nearly could not open, in order to conceal all of the fascinating information.
“He’s Batman, and if he doesn’t like it, not good,” the director said about Pattinson’s feelings on the script.
He talked about how he was excited about the script and Pattinson’s reaction to the story and the character development of Batman and Bruce Wayne simultaneously. According to the director, the way things unfold for the characters in the sequel and what the story has in store for them has never been attempted before. Ultimately, Pattinson liked the script, and the director could not be any happier.
“I had a feeling that he would respond in this way, but the fact that he did was incredibly encouraging,” Reeves says about Pattinson’s reaction to the script.
