Tom Holland openly expressed massive enthusiasm for 16-year-old English actor Owen Cooper to take over the famous red-and-blue suit during an interview with Esquire. Cooper recently achieved international fame for his stunning debut role as Jamie Miller in the hit Netflix miniseries titled Adolescence. Holland appreciated Cooper for his talent.

“Owen Cooper would be awesome,” Holland said. He noted that the rising young star is incredibly talented and currently the talk of the entertainment town.

“Obviously he’s super-talented and the talk of the town right now,” he said. The Marvel veteran envisions taking on a supportive mentoring role for whoever officially steps into the superhero shoes next. He hopes to replicate the vital guidance that Robert Downey Junior provided him during his own early cinematic projects.

The young actor possesses several unique artistic qualities that make him an ideal candidate for the role.

Why could Owen Cooper fit the iconic Spider-Man persona?

Owen Cooper possesses dramatic capabilities well beyond his years, proving he can manage the intense emotional depth Peter Parker requires. He won an Emmy, a Golden Globe, and a BAFTA for his debut performance as a troubled teenager in Netflix’s Adolescence. His award-winning portrayal of a troubled teenager showcased his ability to convey immense grief and psychological pressure under scrutiny.

This proven emotional range mirrors the complex burden that the web-slinging hero frequently navigates in comic book lore. The young star provides an authentic age accuracy that could realistically portray a believable high school student on the big screen. Historically, older actors in their twenties have occupied the role, but Cooper brings genuine teenage awkwardness and innocence.
