At 24, Caleb McLaughlin openly described his romantic life as non-existent, which he explained in a CBR Studio interview segment by saying he currently stays single because he has never experienced a serious relationship. He explained that maintaining a relationship is hard amid a busy career and tight travel schedule, though he has positive feelings about dating if he meets the right person.
“I’m very much a bachelor [but]….non-existent. I’m not [looking], but I am," McLaughlin said.
The host compared the actor's approach toward dating to a cat's behavior, which suggests indifference and nonchalance on the surface. However, a potential openness to a relationship remains, neither fully committed nor pursuing aggressively.
The final season of Stranger Things ended recently, leading McLaughlin to pursue new projects, including GOAT, an animated film. While he might not have been busy on the 14th of February, his slate sure has been booked for the foreseeable future.
Beyond bachelor blues, the actor is taking his time to navigate a busy acting career.
