Reports have surfaced that the Netflix Bridgerton star, Nicola Coughlan, has joined the cast of the upcoming Only Murders in the Building season. The Hulu series has created a huge fanbase over the years with its brilliant blend of cozy murder mysteries and true-crime podcasts anchored by comedy legends Steve Martin and Martin Short, alongside the charming Selena Gomez. Due to the insane demand for the show, it has been renewed for another season after five previous installments.

Now, Nicola Coughlan has been called up to the party to be a part of yet another mystery, among other new additions.

For its forthcoming sixth season, Hulu's Only Murders in the Building is making the most of its journey to London by hiring outstanding local talent. Among the two Doctor Whos and two Harry Potter stars is the Bridgerton star, Nicola Coughlan, among the most recent group of well-known actors to appear as recurring characters in the new film, per Deadline.

David Tennant, Jodie Whittaker, Jim Broadbent, Richard Ayoade, Adrian Lukis, and Kathryn Hunter are the others joining season 6 alongside Coughlan. Jennifer Saunders, Sean Teale, Simone Ashley, Amar Chadha-Patel, Rhea Norwood, Matthew Beard, Sharon Horgan, Martin Freeman, Geri Halliwell-Horner, Jamie Demetriou, Anjana Vasan, Jane Horrocks, Derek Jacobi, and Lesley Nicol are among the recently revealed recurring cast members.

Deadline also reports that the production for season 6 has already begun in the UK. The original trio of Charles, Oliver, and Mabel will, for the first time, be seen venturing outside of NYC to hunt for mysteries. Just like the previous seasons, they will be played by Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez, respectively.

Expectations are heavy from the forthcoming season as the previous one somewhat faltered in its path to brilliance.

The most recent season of Hulu's popular mystery series, season 5, has the lowest rating of the entire series, but with an amazing 89% rating from reviewers. In comparison, the first season of the show received a pristine 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez, the show's main stars, and its star-studded guest cast continue to make Only Murders in the Building a huge hit.

The show has received more than 50 nominations, including several Golden Globes, Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards, and Emmy Awards, and has won many other accolades. The new season seems to be an attempt to regain its grip on the critical acclaim it has been enjoying season after season, and the new guest cast list is a solid indication of this effort.
