The 47-year-old Polish-Mexican star, Maria Ludwika Paleta Paciorek, balances her busy filming schedules with a tightly-knit household consisting of her husband, 3 wonderful children, a famous sister, and musical parents. Her oldest son, 26-year-old Nicolás Haza, is from her ex-husband, Mexican actor Plutarco Haza, and is already a rising actor, composer, and producer. Nicolás Haza is famously known for With That Same Look (2025) and Después (2024).
Her current marriage to 50-year-old Mexican venture capitalist and financial analyst Emiliano Salinas brings a highly private dynamic. The couple tied the knot in April 2013 and welcomed twins Bárbara and Sebastián Salinas in May 2017. To ensure a normal childhood, the parents intentionally shield the 9-year-old twins from social media and the public eye.
Emiliano Salinas is also notable as the son of Carlos Salinas de Gortari, the former President of Mexico. She celebrated her fourth wedding anniversary in 2017 with her husband, Salinas, and shared a heartfelt message on her social media.
"We are absolutely happy," she captioned her Instagram post back then. This prominent connection often places the family name in the national spotlight, despite their efforts to maintain a low profile.
Her journey to becoming an elite performer began as a spontaneous childhood adventure in a new home country.
From childhood auditions to landmark cinematic achievements
Ludwika Paleta was born in Kraków in 1978, before her father, acclaimed musician Zbigniew Paleta, secured a permanent job that moved the family to Mexico. Her sister, Dominika Paleta, unexpectedly took young Paleta to an acting audition on a whim, instantly dazzling the casting directors. This happy accident led straight to her iconic television debut in Carrusel (Carousel) in 1989, launching her into instant stardom.
She later starred in El abuelo y yo (The Grandpa and I) in 1992 alongside Gael García Bernal. She subsequently secured prominent roles in major television dramas like Huracán (Hurricane), Amigas y rivales (Friends and Rivals), and Mujer de madera (Woman of Wood). Her television presence expanded further through notable productions developed by prominent media companies like Endemol and Telefe.
