Is Marvel planning for Kit Harington's return?

In a recent segment of The Cosmic Circus, reporter Alex Perez shared that Marvel hopes to bring Kit Harington back to the MCU as the Black Knight. He responded after a fan on Discord asked whether the character would appear in the two biggest upcoming projects, Blade and Midnight Sons. Perez confirmed both.

Fans have been waiting for this update since Harington's MCU debut in 2021. The actor earned fame playing Jon Snow on Game of Thrones for all eight seasons. His performance on the show catapulted him to global success.

Naturally, fans are eager and expect to see him as the Black Knight in MCU movies, especially in Avengers: Secret Wars. But when will that happen? The movie Blade has been removed from its planned November 2025 release.  Both Blade and Midnight Sons currently have no release dates. However, Marvel seems to have Harington in mind for the role.

As for the Pompeii actor himself, he will likely be open to taking on the part. Harington even hinted at it sometime ago during an interview.

Why Kit Harington agreed to Marvel?

Even if it was just a supporting role in Eternals, Kit Harington agreed to take it. He explained that any offer from Marvel is too good and tempting to resist.

“I'm not gonna pretend I took that [role] because it was different and interesting," he told GQ in 2024. "If Marvel calls, you gotta do it."
