Javier Bardem’s performance in No Country for Old Men remains iconic even today. As the cold-blooded hitman Anton Chigurh, the actor created one of cinema's most terrifying villains. From a bizarre bob haircut to the bolt pistol, every aspect of the character remains unforgettable.

His performance even earned him the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in 2008. Nearly two decades later, No Country for Old Men continues to be a much-discussed thriller among movie fans. Having said that, is the thriller available to watch on Netflix?

Unfortunately, No Country for Old Men is not available on Netflix. However, the movie is available to stream on Kanopy, Paramount+, and Fubo. It is also available to rent on Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV. For those who are not aware, the acclaimed neo-Western thriller follows Vietnam War veteran Llewelyn Moss, who discovers $2 million at the scene of a failed drug deal and decides to keep the money.

His decision begins the relentless chase in the movie as the ruthless and psychopathic hitman Anton Chigurh hunts him across the Texas desert. At the same time, Sheriff Ed Tom Bell investigates the growing trail of violence. Unlike most thrillers, No Country for Old Men remains unique for its ambiguous ending, which leaves viewers with several questions and doubts rather than definite answers.

Kelly Macdonald and Woody Harrelson are part of the cast. Josh Brolin stars as Llewelyn Moss in the movie, while Tommy Lee Jones appears as Sheriff Ed Tom Bell. And Javier Bardem plays the role of Anton Chigurh.

Apart from Anton Chigurh, Bardem has played the role of several memorable villains throughout his career, and he recently stepped into yet another iconic antagonist role.

Javier Bardem played the role of Max Cady

Javier Bardem recently returned to the screen as one of cinema's most iconic villains, Max Cady, in the series Cape Fear. The show is based on John D. MacDonald's novel The Executioners. And this is the same novel that inspired the 1962 psychological thriller Cape Fear and Martin Scorsese's acclaimed 1991 remake.
