Stranger Things has finally wrapped up its battle against monsters from the Upside Down, giving a mostly happy ending for the nerds of Hawkins. One of the most satisfying moments for fans was Max Mayfield waking up from her coma and finally reuniting with Lucas Sinclair.

Their heartwarming bond on screen was loved by viewers. Now, while Caleb McLaughlin has been brilliant in portraying Lucas on screen, many fans are curious about his personal life and specifically, who the actor is dating.

Caleb McLaughlin opened up about his dating life in an interview in 2024. The 24-year-old shared that he is currently single and has never been in a committed relationship so far. 

"I mean, I’ve been in situations, but I’ve never had a girlfriend. It’s hard. It’s hard having a girlfriend right now,” he told Cosmopolitan in 2024.

However, Caleb McLaughlin also made it clear that he is open to meeting the right person, even with a busy schedule. He explained that while he is busy with his work, he will prioritize finding time out if he finds someone special. 

And when it comes to what he enjoys in a potential relationship, the Stranger Things star spoke about adventures. He explained that he prefers experiences and enjoys doing things that feel exciting and unexpected, such as jumping into a lake for fun.

After wrapping up the fifth and final season of Stranger Things, the talented and versatile Caleb McLaughlin reunited with his former co-star David Harbour for another project. The two will feature as voice actors in Sony Pictures Animation’s upcoming film GOAT. 

The animated movie, GOAT, follows the story of Will, a small goat with big ambitions who earns a chance to compete in a professional-level sport called Roarball. Despite resistance from his teammates, Will sets out to challenge expectations and play against big and more aggressive animals in the game. 

The animated movie is scheduled to hit theaters on February 13, 2026. Till then, Caleb McLaughlin can keep his search for the right one.
