The beloved nerds are back for Stranger Things Season 5, with Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, and the rest of the Hawkins crew gearing up for one final battle. As the Hawkins crew inches closer to revealing the mystery surrounding Vecna, the chemistry among the squad feels stronger than ever. Unsurprisingly, the squad seemingly shares the same bond offscreen, too. 

Finn Wolfhard has previously spoken about his close connection with the Stranger Things cast, even though they do not text each other frequently. Among the most talked-about is his relationship with co-star Sadie Sink. 

Stranger Things, which has been with the crew for nearly a decade, is now heading into the conclusion of its fifth and final season. As heartwarming moments featuring the cast continue to surface online, fans have grown curious about the relationship between Finn Wolfhard (Mike Wheeler) and Sadie Sink (Max Mayfield).

The two actors have consistently described themselves as close friends.   Later in 2025, both Wolfhard and co-star Gaten Matarazzo attended the opening night of Sadie Sink’s Broadway play, John Proctor Is the Villain, to show their support once again. While their off-screen friendship has fueled baseless rumors of the two dating, both Finn Wolfhard and Sadie Sink have maintained that they share a genuine friendship.

Despite the actors having been clear about their relationship, fans have continued to speculate about their dating lives.

Both Sadie Sink and Finn Wolfhard have been very secretive about their personal lives. Recently, however, Finn Wolfhard opened up about his dating life and clarified that he is not currently seeing anyone. He explained that his busy schedule, which involves constant travel and work, is not the ideal time. 

"Maybe it's been subconsciously — what’s the word? — deliberate? — to not have a committed partner,” he said in a conversation with Variety.

As for Sadie Sink, she has been linked to a few names over the years, including Patrick Alwyn. However, neither Sadie Sink nor Patrick Alwyn has ever confirmed or denied the speculation. What remains certain is the warm and genuine friendship that Sadie Sink and Finn Wolfhard share with the rest of the Stranger Things cast. Now, while the series is set to conclude with its final season, the bond between the cast members will likely stay for years to come.
