Prince Harry once shared the core reason that made the Royal Family think his romance with Meghan Markle would not last longer.

How This Single Meghan Markle Trait Made the Royal Family Believe Her Romance With Prince Harry Will Be Short-Lived

When two people from entirely different worlds come together and create their
own magical romance, it makes the entire world believe in a fairytale love
story. When the world got to know about the stirring romance between the
American actress Meghan Markle [http://netflixjunkie.com/tag/meghan-markle/] and
the English Royal, Prince Harry [http://netflixjunkie.com/tag/prince-harry/],
people could not believe their eyes and ears. Their happiness escalated when
they saw the sizzling couple tying the knot 5 years ago. Since then, despite the
struggles, the Sussexes have been going strong.

However, before their grand royal wedding, the Royal Family did not think the
romance between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would last longer. But why?

WHY DID THE ROYALS THINK THE ROMANCE BETWEEN MEGHAN MARKLE AND PRINCE HARRY
WOULD NOT LAST?

After leaving their royal status, the Sussexes moved to the USA and settled
their little world there. After going through a lot of trouble, they finally
made their documentary, Harry and Meghan, with Netflix. In the second episode of
the documentary, the Duke of Sussex revealed the only reason his family thought
their relationship would not last. “Oh, she’s an American actress, this won’t
last long,” said the Duke while remembering Markle’s first meeting with the
Royal Family.

Although the Royals were thrilled to meet Prince Harry’s then-girlfriend, they
did not believe in their love story lasting forever. While the Duke made the
statement, the Duchess also shared her sentiments. She said, “The actress thing
was the biggest problem.” The reason she said that was because she believed it
was easy for the English people to typecast Hollywood and had every reason to
doubt it.

However, after all these years of sharing their lives, the Sussexes are together
and are parents to their beautiful 2 children. The California-based royals have
often faced criticism for their romance from people around the world. They even
compared them with the Prince and Princess of Wales as well. Reportedly, people
will have yet another chance to look at both couples doing different things on
the same day.

ON THE SAME DAY

Often, fans have compared the former American actress with Kate Middleton and
their respective husbands as well. On World Mental Health Day, both couples will
appear in public

although on the opposite sides of the Atlantic. While the Prince and Princess of
Wales will attend several events in the UK, the Sussexes will host their first
in-person Archewell Foundation event.

The former royals made remarks about the Royal Family members in their Netflix
documentary. Therefore, the relationships between them became even more
strained. In the documentary itself, the 39-year-old Duke refused to go back to
his home. And now, both the Royal Family and the California-based royals are
moving ahead in their lives separately.
