Fortunately, the couple, who got married on September 27, 2025, in a private, intimate ceremony, are still happily married and together. However, a recently deleted Instagram story from Selena Gomez’s official account falsely claimed that she is “single now.” It was quickly shared across X and TikTok, sparking conversations and speculation that the two had divorced.

There were even rumours that Blanco had cheated on the 'Same Old Love' singer. However, the image was later found to be photoshopped to make it appear as if Gomez had posted it. It was deleted soon after, which led to further speculation spreading rapidly without verification.

Fortunately, a TikTok commentary account flagged the viral Instagram story as fake and called it out as photoshopped. Since there is no official statement confirming the rumours, the post has been dismissed as false. But Gomez has yet to  make any public clarification regarding the claims.

Some reports suggest the singer did not respond because she has been busy with work, including filming for the new season of Only Murders in the Building. As of now, the divorce rumours are untrue, and Gomez and Blanco, who began dating in 2023, are still together.

While the rumours have been debunked, the singer appears to be focused on her ongoing projects, with the new season reportedly featuring a new location.

Only Murders in the Building has previously been filmed mostly in New York. However, this time, Season 6 will be filmed entirely in London. However, the new season moves the story overseas for the first time. Showrunner John Hoffman confirmed that London will serve as the exclusive filming location, with no scenes planned in New York. 

The Hulu series, starring Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez, has long been centered around the iconic Arconia apartment building. The storyline will reportedly continue from Season 5’s cliffhanger, which involved a death connected to events in London. This naturally ties the characters’ next investigation to the new location. 

In the new season, Charles, Oliver, and Mabel will be thrown into a new environment, where they must solve the puzzle that was teased earlier. While there is still time before Gomez could return to the screen with her favourite squad, fans can rest assured that the recently viral rumours are false.
