Films have offered us catharsis, chaos, and the occasional delusion. And apparently, they have done the same for Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, who has chosen his on-screen soulmate: Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman.

Travis Kelce has cast himself in a rom-com remake, and the working title is Pretty Man. During a new episode of the New Heights podcast, Jason Kelce brought up that Pretty Woman had faced criticism for being “misogynistic.”  Travis Kelce quickly offered a twist: “I think the only way to gauge it is to flip the script.” Jason Kelce then delivered the perfect punchline, telling his brother, “You are basically living Pretty Man right now”, a nod to Kelce’s relationship with music powerhouse Taylor Swift.

In the flipped script version, the Kelce brothers imagined a version where “a CEO billionaire woman” is so rich and refined, “she does not know where she is going, she does not know how to drive a car.” And lo and behold, Julia Roberts was sitting in front of Jason Kelce all along. Travis Kelce then sealed the comparison with a rom-com-worthy visual, laughing, “I am wearing nothing but a tie when Taylor comes home.” With that, the football star confirmed what the Internet already suspected, his love life has a script, a soundtrack, and a wardrobe change.

As if the comparisons were not enough, Travis Kelce might have experienced a full-circle Pretty Woman and Pretty Man crossover in real life.

When Travis Kelce met Julia Roberts at one of Taylor Swift’s concerts last year, the moment felt strangely familiar to him. He later joked that meeting the Pretty Woman star was like looking in a mirror, describing the uncanny resemblance between his own life and her iconic character.
