Tom Cruise thinks Taylor Swift could become a feature film director. The remark came while the actor, 64, was promoting Digger, his new film arriving on October second. Swift, 36, is the voice behind "Life of a Showgirl" and a growing pile of music videos. Apparently, that résumé may soon need space for a clapperboard, a megaphone, and a very well-organized call sheet, courtesy of one seriously famous admirer.

While most stars answer music video questions with a polite smile, Cruise chose generous praise, and London heard every word.

"It would be amazing to work with her on anything," Cruise said.

He then added, "If she ever decided to direct, she could be a director of feature films. I know she does her videos, and she does a beautiful job."

The BuzzFeed UK interview happened Tuesday, September 22, at the Leicester Square premiere, attended by Prince William and Kate Middleton. Cruise also called Swift a brilliant writer and said her family and husband, Travis Kelce, are very magical. Their friendship was on display at Arrowhead Stadium, where Cruise watched the Chiefs opener against the Denver Broncos from her private suite on September 14. He later told Jimmy Fallon she taught him football.
