And if Sandra Bullock's latest social media tease is anything to go by, two very different generations of music royalty may be joining the Owens coven.

Sandra Bullock has seemingly dropped a rather intriguing spell over Practical Magic 2 fandom. The actress shared a video of Olivia Rodrigo and Stevie Nicks performing together at the Daisy Chain Fields music festival, where Rodrigo brought Nicks onstage for a rendition of Fleetwood Mac's ‘Landslid’ Bullock accompanied the clip with a tantalizing message referring to their “angel voices” being part of an upcoming film. 

That wording has naturally sent fans straight into detective mode, especially because Nicks is already practically woven into the DNA of Practical Magic. The original film featured two Nicks performances, ‘If You Ever Did Believe’ and ‘Crystal,’ both produced by Sheryl Crow, with the former becoming one of the movie's defining musical signatures. Bullock's post does not explicitly confirm that Rodrigo and Nicks recorded new material for the sequel, and representatives for both musicians and Warner Bros. had not responded to Variety's requests for comments.

There is also something wonderfully fitting about Rodrigo being involved. Her recent collaboration with Nicks already felt like a passing-of-the-torch moment, with the veteran rocker praising the younger singer's ability to handle the enormous machinery surrounding a modern music career. Now that pairing could be making the jump from a festival stage into the witchy world of the Owens sisters.

The sequel reunites Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman as Sally and Gillian Owens, nearly 30 years after their first supernatural family drama. Directed by Susanne Bier, Practical Magic 2 follows the sisters and their family as they confront a curse that has continued haunting generations of Owens women. The returning cast also includes Stockard Channing and Dianne Wiest, while Joey King and Maisie Williams join as Sally's daughters, expanding the family tree considerably. 

That continuation feels particularly appropriate for a movie whose reputation grew long after its original theatrical run. Whether Bullock's “angel voices” tease confirms a new recording or simply hints at music featured in the film, the possibility feels almost uncannily right.
