While Talon Warburton is not voicing the character of Invincible, in the fourth season of the animated hit series, he is entrusted to play the voice role of young Nolan. His character appears through scenic flashbacks in Invincible that delve into Nolan’s early life on the Viltrumite homeworld. Warburton adds layers of depth to his role, which portrays Nolan's younger days when he was training young Viltrumites.

The main character, Mark Grayson/Invincible, is voiced by Steven Yeun. Warburton instead plays a younger version of Nolan Grayson, who is connected to the main storyline through Omni-Man’s backstory rather than the main hero. Omni-Man, who secretly adopted the name of Nolan Grayson on Earth, is the father of Invincible, and his presence in flashbacks provides essential knowledge about both the Viltrumite Empire and Nolan’s history.

In season 4, episode 2, titled I'll Give You the Grand Tour, Warburton delivered an iconic voice performance as Young Nolan, showcasing his violent beatdown and ruthless ways of their culture on Viltrum during the Scourge Virus breakout. Warbuton committed to a completely original storytelling with the early days of J.K. Simmons, which even Robert Kirkman‘s original superhero comic book series lacked.

Offering great insight into the Viltrumites, Warburton not only created new intrigue for the upcoming episodes of the show, but also made fans curious about his own stellar filmography. From cult-classics to Marvel and popular video games, Warburton has mastered it all, cementing himself as one of the most sought-after emerging voice actors.
