Five teens, a single chance to survive, and life-or-death decisions drive the bus in the latest trailer for This Is Not a Test. The strong and down-to-earth performance of Olivia Holt in the lead role serves as the foundation for this upcoming horror thriller, offering an overwhelmingly terrifying experience that the spectators will not forget soon.

Sloane Price and her fellow students are trapped inside the school in the new trailer, with zombies terrorizing their world. The undead are turning high school corridors into fights, forcing them to struggle for life. 

The movie, with its claustrophobic tension, emotional character conflict, and bloody action, sets a new standard in the zombie genre by focusing on a more personal, character-driven story. Adam MacDonald not only directed but also wrote This Is Not a Test, which revolves around the high schoolers' struggle to escape a sudden zombie apocalypse engulfing their town.

When to expect This Is Not a Test?

For those parched for some high school zombie action, impatiently waiting for All of Us Are Dead season 2, This Is Not A Test is arriving in theatres on February 20, 2026, by Independent Film Company and Shudder. Adapted from the bestselling author Courtney Summers’ hit 2012 Young Adult novel, this movie first premiered at the 2025 Toronto After Dark Film Festival.

Alongside Olivia Holt, among the supporting cast are Froy Gutierrez, Luke MacFarlane, Corteon Moore, Joelle Farrow, Chloe Avakian, and Carson MacCormac, who together suspend the high-stakes disbelief of the zombie apocalypse, pulling it closer to a haunting reality.
