Back in 2018, Ryan Reynolds had just wrapped up filming for Deadpool 2, when he opened up about the struggles of not only starring but writing the script for the film. As it was a trying time for the actor, he leaned on none other than his wife, <a href="https://www.netflixjunkie.com/tag/blake-lively/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Blake Lively</a>. But that was not the cutest revelation. That came later when the actor revealed to Vanity Fair that his wife was &#8220;the best thing that ever happened&#8221; to him.

Reynolds went on to tell Vanity Fair during the movie&#8217;s premiere that Blake Lively had made his life &#8220;immeasurably better&#8221; and that she was his &#8220;closest friend.&#8221; The Proposal actor also went on to tell the viewers that &#8220;family is everything&#8221; to him and that his wife helped him bring the ideas he had to the film.
