Disney has spent decades turning its characters into household names, and now Dude Perfect has joined that household. The internet has built an entirely different breed of celebrity in recent years. We now have "creators" who can command millions of viewers without a Hollywood studio anywhere in sight, YouTube being particularly courteous in this regard. Naturally, these new-generation stars were bound to collide with a touchstone maker like Disney.
With scrolling becoming almost a marker of cultural shift, the old rules of who gets to tell a story have become rather flexible. Ever the observant, Disney has already begun making room for digital stars. Now, one of YouTube’s most recognizable groups is getting a much bigger playground.

Disney has struck a major creative partnership with Dude Perfect, the Texas A&M native YouTube group that turned trick shots, sports challenges and improbable feats into a digital entertainment empire. The Hollywood Reporter broke the news, revealing a deal that stretches across entertainment, sports, consumer products, parks and experiences.

The arrangement, as per THR, gives Dude Perfect room to play with Disney’s biggest cultural moments. The group will produce original videos inspired by Disney franchises and events, while select content will land on Disney+ and ESPN alongside Disney’s social channels. The plans include the Super Bowl LXI, the 50th anniversary of Star Wars and even Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday.
Dude Perfect had attended Created in LA, Disney’s first-ever creator conference, back in September. Clearly, this was not just a case of Mickey Mouse stumbling across YouTube. Disney is actively courting creators who already know how to keep audiences watching.
But Dude Perfect is hardly the only internet personality Disney wants in its corner. Regardless of Emmy letdowns, the company has been building a creator roster that reaches well beyond trick shots and sports.
Disney is making room for more internet stars
In August 2026, Dhar Mann, whose moral-driven videos have made him a YouTube heavyweight, inked a deal with Disney to develop original content for Disney+ and other platforms. The partnership includes a 20-episode order aimed at children, tweens, teens and families.
There is also Like Nastya, whose deal includes an animated preschool series for Disney Jr. and Disney+, alongside live-action family programming. Lala Sadii is also in the mix, with Lala IRL, a scripted series in development for Disney Channel and Disney+.

Disney has even opened a door for TikTok, striking a global agreement that lets creators bring opt-in, fan-made Disney videos to Disney+’s Verts feed using approved material from Marvel, Pixar and Star Wars. Taken together, these moves suggest Disney wants more than a cameo in the creator economy. It wants a seat at the table, and creators who can bring their audiences along.
