How many episodes will Jujutsu Kaisen season 3 include?

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 will premiere on January 8, 2026, with the first two episodes of the Culling Game arc. It is estimated that the season will contain approximately 24 episodes.

The Culling Game Part 1 is likely divided into two parts (cours) to adequately cover this expansive and action-filled portion of the manga. While the first half of 2026 will cover its first half, the second half is slated to be released later in the year.

The global streaming platform, Crunchyroll, will offer a simulcast option for overseas fans to have the opportunity to watch the newly released episodes weekly as they air in Japan. The premiere event is, indeed, especially thrilling because it comprises a double-episode to start the arc’s fierce opening.

Meanwhile, before the weekly episodes, Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution, a special compilation movie, offered a glimpse of the first two episodes of the Culling Game arc. It arrived in theaters at the end of 2025, which gave the fans a cinematic preview of what was coming.

Mark your calendars because the anime's Season 3 is poised to be doused in chilling battles and new cursed techniques as the Culling Game begins.

What to expect from Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3?

With Gojo Satoru being trapped in the Prison Realm, the jujutsu society is in utter chaos. Season 3 picks up right after the Shibuya Incident Arc with the Culling Game, a brutal and fatal survival contest between jujutsu sorcerers, the rules of which Jujutsu Kaisen's latest movie had precipitously delivered.

Yuta Okkotsu, Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, and other pivotal characters join the competition initiated by the sinister sorcerer Kenjaku. They confront deadlier curses, stronger enemies, and worst of all, the emotional and physical consequences of their past battles.

In the face of a loss of morality and strength, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 also focuses on Itadori Yuji's survival and redemption. Director Shota Goshozono amps up the emotional intensity of the season by focusing on character growth and introspection, as well as darker themes and deadlier new fighters joining the arena.

Prepare the stone for hearts, and tissues for tears, because Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 will deliver not only high-stakes actions with adrenaline rush, but also major character developments, along with enhanced lighting, smoother motion, and deeper shadows in Studio Mappa's elevated animation style.
