Netflix has rolled out an intriguing lineup of rom-com films and shows, including The Life List, My Oxford Year, and holiday favorites such as Jingle Bell Heist, among many others, this year. The latest arrival, The Threesome, enters with a smile that suggests trouble and a title that refuses to behave.

Having flirted with acclaim at SXSW back in March, the film now settles onto Netflix with love, chaos, and the kind of complications that never fit neatly into a happy ending. So what exactly is this romantic entanglement about?

The Threesome is an endearing movie that received an impressive 77 % on Rotten Tomatoes. The film follows Connor, a sound engineer caught in a complicated love triangle with emotionally guarded Olivia and earnest graduate student Jenny, after one night changes all their lives. What begins as romance quickly spirals into something different. 

Not just the plot, the movie has a brilliant cast starring Zoey Deutch, Jonah Hauer-King, and Ruby Cruz. Josh Segarra, Robert Longstreet, Arden Myrin, Kristin Slaysman, and more joined the three for the film. The movie was dropped on December 27 and is available for fans to stream on Netflix, and rent on Apple.

After exhausting all the Christmas classics, it is time to reset the marathon with some refreshing picks. Anyone But You follows Bea (Sydney Sweeney) and Ben (Glen Powell), two young Bostonians whose playful flirtation quickly turns into resentment after a misunderstanding. Months later, they reunite at a wedding, and the sparks fly all over again.

On the other hand, Love Hard is another festive delight. Natalie (Nina Dobrev) believes she has found love online and flies 3,000 miles to meet the person for the holidays, only to discover she has been catfished. However, fate has different plans for Natalie.

Rounding off the marathon is a 2025 rom-com that simply cannot be missed. La Dolce Villa follows Eric (Scott Foley), who rushes to Italy to stop his daughter (Maia Reficco) from buying a crumbling villa for just one euro. But he soon realizes that the romance of Italy is impossible to resist. The sweetness of these rom-coms along with the spice in The Threesome are what make Netflix the one stop for all cinema lovers.
