12 Adult Cartoon Must Watch on Netflix

As the ongoing pandemic hit the whole world, we have so much more free time than
we’ve ever had. We all have been searching for new things to spend our time on
during the quarantine.

It may seem that we have finished all the content on Netflix, but have you tried
cartoons? If you got sicked of series or movies, maybe now it is time to chill
and have some fun. So I suggest you take a break from them for a little and go
back to your childhood in your adult ways with these cartoons. So, here is a
list of 12 Adult Cartoon you must watch on Netflix. Have fun while watching!

THE MIDNIGHT GOSPEL

The Midnight Gospel is an adult animated series created by Adventure Time
creator Pendleton Ward and comedian Duncan Trussell. It sets actual podcast
interviews between Trussell and various guests into fantastic adventures. The
cartoon series is about the events the main character encountered while using
the universe simulation device in his house. Clancy makes interviews with
characters he meets in simulations. These interviews are based on actual
interviews, with real audio derived from Trussell’s podcast, The Duncan Trussell
Family Hour. The Midnight Gospel gives you the feeling of being exposed to
psychedelic images flying behind while you are listening to a radio show. The
series gives powerful philosophical messages about existence and more with great
use of imagination.

CLOSE ENOUGH

Close Enough is an adult animated sitcom created by J. G. Quintel, who is also
the creator of the Emmy(R) Award-winning Regular Show. The series revolves
around a married couple with their five-year-old daughter, and their two
divorced best friends/roommates. They all live together on the east side of Los
Angeles. Close Enough escalates normal domestic crises from our daily lives in
surreal, often science-fictional, ways. With its unique characters and funny
interactions, the series flows in laughter.

FINAL SPACE

Final Space is an animated space opera comedy-drama series created by Olan
Rogers. The cartoon revolves around a silly space prisoner, Gary Goodspeed’s
extremely enjoyable adventures with his alien companion Mooncake. As they travel
the galaxy, we watch them trying to solve the mystery of the final space. The
series is not only entertaining but also manages to touch our hearts with its
extremely emotional and dramatic scenes. Final Spaces also manages to leave sad
smiles on our faces sometimes.

DISENCHANTMENT

Disenchantment is an adult fantasy animated sitcom created by Matt Groening. The
cartoon revolves around Bean, who is the Princess of the fantasy world of
Dreamland. The misadventures of rebellious alcoholic Princess are being
accompanied by her feisty elf companion Elfo, and her personal demon Luci. She
finds herself battling with her companions to save her kingdom, even if she has
no intention of fitting into the royal mold actually. Disenchantment will
medicine your depressed quarantine mood while referring to the constant
alternation of reason and logic between good and evil. The series has currently
3 seasons for now on Netflix, here is the first season’s trailer down below.

TRAILER PARK BOYS: THE ANIMATED SERIES

Trailer Park Boys: The Animated Series is an animated series created by John
Paul Tremblay, Robb Wells, and Mike Smith. The cartoon is a spin-off and sequel
to the 2001 television mockumentary comedy series, Trailer Park Boys. The
cartoon has been carried on from the Season 12 finale from the original series.

The story revolves around Sunnyvale Trailer Park residents Ricky, Julian, and
Bubbles trying to make money through petty crimes while avoiding the police.
Their schemes were complicated by the park’s vindictive alcoholic supervisor Jim
Lahey and his partner, Randy. And now, they are all back as cartoons. So it’s
great news especially for those who were also fans of Trailer Park Boys. But
even if you haven’t watched the original series, you still can have a lot of fun
without any confusion while you are watching. You even might want to see the
origin series later, who knows. It has two seasons on Netflix for now, and more
is yet to come we hope.

RICK AND MORTY

Rick and Morty is an adult animated science fiction sitcom created by Justin
Roiland and Dan Harmon. It seems to have cliché characters at first, but it
proves that it is not soon enough. In Rick and Morty, we witness an active use
of the imagination which is actually scattered freely with its unique
characters. And they also make extremely brilliant references. By the ways of
reflecting the subjects or cliches they take as a reference, they are able to
make us both think and laugh with their mocking.

The cartoon revolves around the adventures of the members of the Smith
household. The household consists of parents Jerry and Beth, their children
Summer and Morty, and Beth’s father, Rick Sanchez, who lives with them as a
guest. And the adventures of Rick and Morty take place across an infinite number
of realities. They travel to other planets and dimensions through portals and
Rick’s flying car. The cartoon has 4 seasons streaming on Netflix now for you to
catch if you still haven’t started watching!

F IS FOR FAMILY

F Is for Family centers on an Irish-American family in the mid-1970s. It is
an adult animated streaming series created by Bill Burr and Michael Price. This
dysfunctional suburban Irish-American family lives in the fictional town of
Rustvale, Pennsylvania. One of the good things about the series, which reflects
the 70’s America quite well, is also it has a plot continuity that we are not
used to seeing in such animations lately. We can say that F is for Family
similar to The Simpsons, Family Guy, and American Dad mold with a loving but
flawed dad and a mum who could do better, and kids that always belong to the
weird crows. So it’s a very high-quality animation that tells stories from life,
sometimes includes drama but is also very entertaining. F is Family has 4
seasons on Netflix for now.

PARADISE PD

Paradise PD is an animated sitcom. Waco O’Guin and Roger Black created the
cartoon series for Netflix. The cartoon revolves around a small-town police
department where crime is rampant and the police are seriously incompetent. It’s
a sharp cartoon that is outside the mainstream and has apparently more going on
under the surface than is obvious. The cartoon makes you laugh quite by giving
messages in its own absurd ways. Paradise PD has 2 seasons on Netflix for now.

BIG MOUTH

Big Mouth
[https://netflixjunkie.com/big-mouth-season-5-release-date-synopsis-trailer-and-cast/]
is an adult animated coming-of-age sitcom created by Family Guy writer Andrew
Goldberg. The cartoon revolves around the lives of teenagers’ own experiences in
suburban New York. Big Mouth gives you the chance to dive into tough issues such
as puberty, masturbation, and what to do when you get sexually aroused at the
wrong moment. And it does it very amusing. Big Mouth never falls over the thin
rope that it walked on. It is because that the show is talking about sensitive
subjects by stressing them from all sides and showing all real kinds of
perversions clearly, which is really hard, and they do it very well. All 4
seasons are available on Netflix for you to watch.

HOOPS

Hoops is an adult animated sitcom created by Ben Hoffman. The cartoon is about a
hot-headed, foul-mouthed high school basketball coach Ben Hopkins. Ben thinks
turning around his God-awful team will take him to the ‘big leagues’ and turn
his miserable life around. Hoops keeps your smile on your face but it also
manages to upset you sometimes surprisingly. It has one season, for now, that
you can watch on Netflix.

BOJACK HORSEMAN

BoJack Horseman is an adult animated tragicomedy sitcom created by Raphael
Bob-Waksberg. The cartoon is in an alternate world where humans and
anthropomorphic animals live side by side. The main character BoJack Horseman is
a washed-up star of the 1990s sitcom Horsin’ Around. His old-sitcom centered
around a young bachelor horse trying to raise three human children who had been
orphaned. And now, he is living in relative obscurity in his Hollywood Hills
mansion as he tries a monumental comeback to celebrity once he had. On the other
hand, his addiction to drugs, alcohol, and recklessness are among the other
problems he is trying to deal with. Unlike most cartoons, BoJack continues
struggling with the funny problems that happened to him where the previous
episode left off just like other normal series. The cartoon series has 6 seasons
streaming on Netflix now.
