While promoting Girls Trip in 2017 on Watch What Happens Live, the actress got asked a question about the craziest rumor she has heard about her family. To which she replied, “That Will and I are swingers.” She added that she keeps hearing these rumors and screamed, “Yo! I wish!”

Her costar and fellow guest on the show, Queen Latifah, added to her statement that she has always admired the bond Jada shares with her husband. She even commented that she compares the relationship of the couple to every relationship she has ever been in.

However, their married life has not been this happy forever; it has seen many ups and downs. And though she meant the swinging jokingly, people often connect it to the bond she shared with the singer August Alsina. But what happened between these two?

While the 51-year-old was promoting her film, the rumor of her dating the Louisiana-based singer came out. In the same year, she attended the BET Awards with the ‘No Luv’ singer, which spared the rumors even more.

Apparently, Jaden Smith introduces Alsina to the family and even took the singer on a Hawaii trip with the Smiths. Alsina claims that during this period, he became close to the actress and developed feelings for her. Later, at her show ‘Red Table Talk’, the Set It Off actress accepted having an affair with Alsina.

The Focus actor and his wife went through a rough phase about 10 years ago. He once planned her 40th birthday for almost three years and the mother of his kids straightaway disliked it. Even after the infamous Slapgate incident, rumors of the couple getting a divorce sparked.

However, they have always stood together through all their ups and downs in life. Hence, the divorce rumors were proven false and the couple happily celebrated its 25th marriage anniversary last year in December.
